Sync Your Google Calendar data to ThunderBird

Now get your Google Calendar Meetings,Appointments and Events to your ThunderbirdGoogle Calendar and thunder bird users have happy news now Thunder bird has the addons which integrates Google calendar and Thunderbird calendar and sync your appointments and meeting from Thunderbird to Google calendar and vice versa though Thunder bird calendar can be integrated with other addons to sync your appointment to mobile devices such as black berry below Pic shows the thunder bird with calendar calendar after installing calendar addon.....



Below are the procedure on how to sync your Google calendar with Thunderbird

1. Download Calendar Plugin Lightning for Thunderbird Click here
2. and Addon which connects google calendar with Lightning Click here

after installing plugins you can see the calendar will be added to the Thunderbird with the new sidebar holding the calendar and new options such as mail,calendar and tasks in the bottom.....


To access the google calendar through Thunderbird first you need to get the Google Calendars URL to get the URL from google calendar click calendar settings as show in below picture

And after entring the settings option you will get options of getting the data in xml,html or ical format as shown in below PIC though ical works xml is recommended


then after copying URL in xml option as show in above PIC go back to the Thunderbird and choose click -->File -->New -->Calendar if this option is not available probabily it is due to you might be in mail view or tasks view you can change the view by clicking the calendar option in thunderbird below as show in above first PIC after selecting the calendar option in thunder bird you will get the below screen or form


and now select -->On the Network, click -->Next, select -->Google Calendar as the format and insert the URL into the -->Location field, click -->Next, you will be displayed with ur email id -->User Name and now you enter-->Password and click -->OK..... Name your calendar, give it a -->Color, click -->Next and finally -->Setup is complete an now whenever you add event, or appointment in thunderbird or google calender web portal you can sync to either one automatically
