Effectively detect and avoid spam in your Gmail Inbox

This is One of the Tip Need to Know by all gmail users i am a heavy user of internet surfing more than 18hrs a day from ripping code from the net to reading online magazine and newspaper trying to find interesting stuff as you know most of the website requires you to subscribe for their site for writing comment or downloading some files from the site so i used to have more than 10 gmail ID's for personal, developer forums, and some junk sites, for orkut community moderation and blog etc... until i discovered this old but new trick for me and some geeks out there so this trick makes use of multiple email ids not necessary.....

Consider your email id is iamgeek@gmail.com any thing sent to below email ids will be forwarded to your primary mail box say

iam.geek@gmail.com
i.amg.eek@gmail.com
iamgeek@gmail.com
iam.gee.k@gmail.com
i.a.m.g.e.e.k@gmail.com

so all the email ids are virtually same and anything sent to it will be in the iamgeek@gmail.com inbox so next time whenever you give email id to anyone say friends, family colleagues you can give iamgeek@gmail.com to family,i.amgeek@gmail.com to colleagues, and i.a.m.geek@gmail.com to friends in this way you can frame rules in your email client and send it to appropriate folder.......

So another important tip which no heavy internet user wont resist is say you are subscribing to many sites for some reason so at that time you can give your email id as iamgeek+somesite@gmail.com where somesite is the name of the site where you are using that email id to subscribe

so iamgeek@gmail.com and iamgeek+somesite.com are one and the same by this way you can come to know which site is selling your email id to spammers or use for spamming by filtering these kinda sites by blocking the email id iamgeek+somesite@gmail.com by this way effectively filtering out the spam and keep your inbox clean always without using multiple email ids for different purposes
