Today i had been in a tough situation in deciding between choosing the mobile w810i and k550i after the review in many sites i found out there isnt much difference between these two mobile and thought of going for k550i as it was a cybershot after purchasing and after quite a few snaps when i uploaded it to my computer i was really disappointed the PIC's were not of the resolution as i expected and after a seeing my friends mobile nokia which was also of 2mp there wasn't much difference between sony and nokia so guys if you are purchasing the mobile and really you use camera very often go for any mobile which is above 3.2mp atleast any thing less than 3.2mp is just crap.....
Any way sony k550i was better than nokia in terms of camera and sound the sound was superb and i also bought mini speakers which was awsome for that size very very distorsion free and krisp sound sony rocks music world ;) .... I liked the design, it’s sleek, slim and it just plain looks cool. The black and silver give the K550i a certain edgy but sophisticated look and 262k TFD not TFT TFD consumes very less power than TFT so battery life is much higher.... though the joystick is absent i think it is good as there are many complaints of joy stick in sony the phone comes with 64mb internal memory and you will not get any ......
The k550i has the camera cover which is a bit tight in my mobile i dont know whether it is the case for all the k55oi it has a two small led bulbs which is very cool in taking photos in dark
It has a dedicated button for zoom/sound and also a dedicated push button for camera there are 3modes vga,1mp and 2mp the zoom works only in vga mode and it has a MiniSD M2 slot i think this model has a new version of SD card than any other which is very small and a bit costly and the size is

march 2008 i purchased a sony ericsson k550i.i think the sony ericsson is good other than.but after two days.there is some problem in camera.sony ericsson service centre said this is camera complaint they replaced it within two days.but i dont like it.it performance is too bad.sound is very less and memorr card is costly.so i exchange it .i had lost around 1000rs.i purchase a nokia 6233 it is very good phone.
