Voice chat on Linux with Yahoo, Gtalk, MSN, Jabber and many more

Finally Voice chat is a reality on Linux :) Since i started a working on a Linux project and started using Debian as the OS in office first thing i missed often and most is the ability of Voice chat in Linux though we were using Gtalk on windows to communicate with offshore team mates often from our desktop it was really annoying to use key board to chat with when we shifted to Linux Operating system.....

And after searching for a long while on the world wide web i found a successfully way of enabling voice chat on Linux with the third party free plug in using Empathy IM below is the detailed steps on how to do it:-

step1: System--->Administration--->Synaptic Package Manager
step2: in Synaptic Package Manager window Settings--->Repositories
step3: Third party Software--->Add and enter the line below in the APT text box

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/telepathy/ubuntu hardy main

Now close the window and press Reload button in the Synaptic Package Manager window and now in the list in Synaptic Package Manager find/search "Empathy" and mark by right clicking it and click on the "Install" button in the top

step4: All done after the installation gets completed restart your computer so that the software will installed

step5: Now click on the Applications---> Internet---> Empathy Instant Messenger you get a window as shown in the below PIC

Now you can configure Gtalk, Yahoo, MSN or any other Accounts by giving your original credential and start voice chatting and at last the voice chat which was a last thing missing on the Linux is finally at place and keeping the critics on the bay if you know any other tips and tricks do mention it here
