Well did it happen or not? And if it did happen what's the big deal? Stealth is something that we have wanted all along. And why does not someone in the Navy try this experiment again. This time without humans on board but instead some test subjects like monkeys and see what the effect is. Probably if the ship does go invisible the effects would be too much for a manned ship with people but for an unmanned ship, like Mr. Hammond made at that time, such a ship could survive invisibility.
