Lockup death is one of the common happening in Indian jails / prisons it is so popular that 50% of the Indian movies will be having one scene of lock up death.... i came across an article in yahoo news which says lockup death incidents might be a syndrome more than torture by the police / cops...
An investigation of 60 cases in Madrid's Gregorio Maranon hospital by Manuel Martinez selles
concludes that the cases were indeed unexplainable after police detention in Spain most of the cases death occurred immediately after the arrest and in some cases it tool 24 hours selles said in annual meeting of the European society of cardiology...All but one of the casualties were male and their average age was just 33 years, with no previous history of cardiovascular disease.the death remains mystery but selles belives youg men in particular may experience sugar surges in blood level of chemicals know as catecholamines when under severe stress Adrenaline is one of the most abundant catecholamines.
selles points out that wild animals captured some times die suddenly he also speculates when young males are captured it is stressful and their level of catechalpmines rises very high and finally cardiac arrest
Selles compiled his study the first of its kind in any country by scouring Spanish newspapers for cases of unexplained death after police detention over the past 10 years.
Autopsy reports were checked for past medical condtiton and mistreatment by cops but there were no significant evidence that they were exactly the case though 12 of them were drug addicts selles says this doesnt contribute to deaths......
so guys my theory is that cops /police has the secret way of killings the trouble makers in a way that it cannot be traceable especially indian cops ;) what do you think is it mystery or another cover up
