update april 17th 2010: It is said that two bombs went off at the gates of Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium this afternoon, ahead of the Royal Challengers-Mumbai Indians IPL match that was scheduled at the venue today and another one near kumble circle it is said that 8 injured and no news about death have been reported until now will update shortly between if any of you have more information do leave a comment.

Update: Lakshmi (65) was killed in blast that occured in Madiwala Check post. She was waiting for bus at the Bus Stop in Madiwala Check post. Her husband Ravi is also critically injured and shifted to near by hospital. Two people are critically injured in the blast and are shifted to St John's hospital. Cell phones are jammed

Timings of bomb blast
While four low-intensity blasts went off at Madiwala( 1.20pm), Nayandanahalli (Mysore Road)(1.25 pm), Adugodi (1.45 pm)areas on the outskirts, blasts also rocked areas near Koramangla (2.10pm) Mallya road (2.25 pm), Langford Road and Richmond Circle (2.35 pm)

Several persons have been injured in the attack and they have been admitted to the St Johns Hospital in Bangalore

update: total blasts were 9 and chief minister yediurappa announced Rs 1 lakh ex-Gratia to the next of kin of each of the deceased. and 50,000 to 25000 rs for the injured and medical compensation from the government

Update: 9th bomb was found near the Forum Mall in Koramangala, It has now been defused.

Update: CM of karnataka has announced ruppess one lakh to Sukumar who successfully diffused the bomb near Kormangala mall as an appreciation
