you can search for people on plaxo by their email id or and by name but one draw back is you must be a registered plaxo user to use the service though company offers free as we as paid services the paid members can enjoy few services such as backup and recovery,duplicate contact elimination and discount on some services plaxo supports open id's and the plaxo is slowly making the wave with good features and some excellent services such as synchronization with desktop and web PIM manager such as outlook,google,yahoo etc
