Remove annoying right click menu items

Remove Unwanted Context Menu Item!!! Recently i installed the 7zip and i uninstalled after few days though i uninstalled the application the 7zip menu was still present in the right click menu even after uninstalling the application so below is the simple method of removing the annoying and unremoved menu items from the right click menu itemsthere are two methods of removing unwanted right click menu item one for folders and one for files this can be done with little bit of registry hackingediting


Right click menu for files



first press start-->run-->regedit

and traverse to the below registry key

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\

Edit or Remove annoying right click menu items!!! see the below figure how the tree looks like you can disable any right click file menu item just by deleting the unwanted menu folder if you wish to reactivate or reuse it again in future you can disable it by double clicking on the default folder in the right pane and appending "-" to the key as shown in the circle in below figure

the steps for right click menu folders is same as for right click menu except we have to modify in folder registry



start-->run-->regedit

and traverse to the below registry key

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\
you can follow the same steps as with the file menu for file folders though this is simple one should be careful while modifying any system registry entry
