Why Google is not indexing my Blog?

How long it takes my site to be indexed by google? google not indexing my site? these are the questions many people have in their mind when their site are not indexed....below are my few personal experience When i started my first blog funny-mailbox it was indexed in just less than a week so i started this blog abovetopsecret which is one of my interesting subjects i was fursturated to see google not indexing my blog after more than a 20 days? so i started looking around the net for some solution and i will share my experience with you here are the few important things you need to know after creating the blog

• Submit your Blog URL to this site http://www.google.com/addurl/ so that your blog will get into the queue for indexing by google bots.

• Login to webmaster tools site https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/siteoverview using your gmail account and register and submit your site there and verify your site... there are three methods the most common is by adding meta tagin the header of the template and press verify button to verify your site please follow the below steps

1. Login to webmaster site click on the tools option which is present in the left handside menu and click on manage site verification menu and follow the instruction
2. After the first step select the add metatag option and you get a mettag in the below screen and you place that tag in the html template of the blog in btw the body section as shown in below PICTURE.and save the template and click verify..
   

• You can also submit the sitemap to the google after searching the web i found out a way to submit site map on google
  

1.login to the webmaster site click on the sitemap in left hand pane and click on add site map and choose site map as general site map and click give in the box as rss.xml or atom.xml

after doing all the above things wait for a week you can check whether your blog is indexed or not by googling by giving following parameter in search box "site:yourblogname,blogspot.com" if your blog is indexed google returns some of the links from your pages as a result else you will get document does not found....

and also check whether the line in the below pic is present in your template if it is present please remove it some times this entry might accidentally slipped in your blog the above code suggest the google crawlers not to index the site.

and also keep in mind that google may index site which can take from few days to few months the indexing may depend on number factors such as no of back links you have on the quality site and how often you update your blog..
