What happened to agloco? is it doomed? or badly failed

What happened to agloco? is agloco a scam ? agloco is a part of the internet history now ;) like other online marketing company? a year ago while browsing some of the community on orkut i came across the post by anon about agloco saying that we could just earn money by reffering people and just installing their view bar..... and i started looking at the company profile and looked promising so i joined using his refferal link and then what? i reffered more than 300+ direct members under me and more than 2000+ referral referrals...... and after a few days of scamming and spamming for referrals when i tried to connect to their site "The server at www.agloco.com is taking too long to respond." gone.......

program that looked very promising of making some extra cash was AGLOCO, they started very strong making a lot of advertising and saying that it was time for regular users to take back the control of the Internet and earn some cash just by installing a viewbar which will be displaying some ads while you surfed the Internet. As simple as that… you will going to be making just by looking those ads, but what easy comes… easy goes…

Suddenly one day the AGLOCO subscribers received an email like this one explaining one situation, similar to what happened AllAdvantage program:

Dear —–,

We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO’s operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at agloco1@live.com .

We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.

There was no more explanation of what happened, just like that, they first appeared making good promises and from one day to another they disappeared. Up to date I haven’t heard about anyone who get paid by time that spended surfing surfing the web with that bar.

I have also heard and I saw cases of people who even paid advertising just to earn more referrals and try to earn more money but it seems that they all wasted their money for nothing, probably thinking that they were going to have a return of investment.

Everytime that you try to access their homepage is imposible, the server is down, the only site of AGLOCO that you can reach is their blog that hasn’t been updated since October 12, 2007.

So what happened to my hard work reffering refferals? i just worked for agloco promoting there site for free man that sucks :( so guys before joining any interenet online earning company please be careful because 99% of out there are fake ones just created to exploit you!!!
