Advertisement in India has reached the level where it can beat the American counterparts.... as the AD market in india is growing so the innovationsin in Advertisement is also growing you can see the advertisements almost anywhere from government application to the temple wall clocks and even behind the parking slips
So what is embedded advertisement all about?
Recently while watching the program on NDTV about the possibilities of embedded AD's i searched on the google about the new innovation of embeddeding Ads in entertainment and media in india Last year 19 films had in-film placement and 44 films opted for co-branding activities. In all, 45 brands were advertised through films last year Embedded advertising or in-film ad placements are happening on a larger scale now than ever before. Films like Krrish had over a dozen placements including Lay’s, Bournvita, Samsung, Faber Castell and Hero Honda.....In 2005-06, advertisers spent 25-30 lakh on embedded advertising. This number has now increased to over 1 crore. Brands understand the market better than the films.
Not only in movies embedded advertisment is also slowly leaping its way into popular television series..... this type of advertisment is not only cost effective it is both profitable for producers and advertisers.... According to some sources the popular youtube is also planning to go with this new innovation of embedding their videos with ADs
not only youtube many sites which streams or hosts free video to the public displays first few seconds of video ads to momentize themselves
And also some Market gurus are suggesting that a free distribution of Mp3's on net with a embedded voice ads not only decreases piracy and also bring some revenue to the music industry
