How to Configure Gmail in Outlook express, thunderbird, eudora and outlook

Gmail one of the Best Email service in the world offers its users pop access and imap for free unlike other players(competitors) who charge for it.... i am using google since 1.5 years which i configured it to mozilla thunderbird,outlook express,outlook and foxmail i have many email ids for different purpose such as blog and orkut communities and believe it not even a single spam in my inbox till now.... thanx to google spam filtering technology......


Outlook Express

  1. Goto the Tools menu and select Accounts
  2. Click the Add -> Mail button
  3. Select "POP3" and click next
  4. Fill in your name and e-mail address (myemail@gmail.com)
  5. Fill in the blanks as seen below.

Fill in your Gmail screen name and your password.

Click Properties tab as shown in the below PIC

Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com

Fill in the boxes as show in the PICs and note do not forget to click the check box my server requires authentication
