Are Mayans Intelligent Enough to Predict Dooms day?

Is the End of the world is just around the corner ? Are the Mayans were very advanced to forecast the major catastrophic events? As we are not finding out,They had astronomical calenders which are still way too complex then what we use. All their calenders end on 2012 It is suggested that 2012 is the end of time! Let us think of another book for a minute. It is called the Bible. A while ago some scientists used the outdistanced matrices to try to break the so called "Bible Code" and ended up with some cataclysmic changed set for year 2012 Now these are two different things! Mayans in South America and the Bible from mid-east.

One of the interpretations I read simply said that, "In year 2012 the word of god shall fall and a new order shall begin." I hope that means that we stop being savages who kill each other in name of religion and finally start a new world order of mankind, working towards a better future. But, like I said, its 2012 it is far away.

It is like a large check mark on the calendar, a pointer aimed at 13.0.0.0.0, the "End Date" of the Mayan Long Count Calendar. From the Mayan point of view, this is the "End of Days." It is so significant that the calendar just comes to a stop. It is like having an alarm set when it's time to take your medicine. This date is also December 21, 2012, the day of the Winter Solstice. But what is this check mark trying to tell us. What medicine are we suppose to remember to take?

The Mayan calendar was started in 3113 BC. But, most of the documents that could tell us what this calendar was for were destroyed long ago. In Mesoamerica, South America and on Easter Island, zealot priests destroyed almost all the written documents. Before that the library at Alexandria in Egypt was distorted by fire, several times. Almost all ancient history books in China were destroyed on the order of a dying emperor. Someone does not seem to want us to know where we come from or where we are going.

Yet not all was lost. Writings on stone, lost to the world when the past was being destroyed, have since been found. In Mesopotamia were found thousands of clay tablets. On these tablets is the description of a society in which the government, economy and religion was controlled by one organization. This organization is a family of fallen gods . In Mesoamerica, the writings are on the temples, altars and other stone structures. Even better, in Mesoamerica, there still live the descendants of these ancient people. There are those that still follow the ancient ways.

Some of the predictions that takes place in 2012:

1. The Earth will undergo a magnetic field shift, reversing the polarity of the planet.

2.An asteroid or comet will collide with the Earth.

3.For half of the katun (20 year Mayan cycle) there will be food, for half some misfortunes. This katun brings the end of the "word of God." It is a time of uniting for a cause.

4.The disturbed Energy of earth, atmosphere that is manifesting as of four forces nature - the fires assisted by wind, earth assisted by water causing global warming and natural catastrophes

January 31 — 433 Eros, the second largest Near Earth Object on record (size 13x13x33 km) is expected to pass Earth at 0.1790 astronomical units (~16.647 Million Miles) (1 AU = ~150 million kilometers or ~93 million miles) (1AU = the average distance from Earth to the sun). NASA studied Eros in the NEAR Shoemaker probe launched February 2000

February 6 — If she is still on the throne, Elizabeth II will celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. A series of festivities across the United Kingdom and Commonwealth of Nations will likely run throughout the year.

April 15 — The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic.

April 17 — The United States will cede control of the military of the Republic of Korea after 50 years of control.

May 20 — Annular solar eclipse, a Sunday.

June 6 — Second and last solar transit of the planet Venus of this century; the next pair is predicted to occur in 2117 and 2125 (see Transit of Venus, 2012).
